تُعد الأيليات واحدةً من أكثر آكلات العُشب البرية شيوعًا في العالم. قد يصل طول الموظ إلى 2.33 مترًا ووزنه إلى 820 كيلوغرامًا. كما يُعد البودو الشمالي أصغر الأيليات كافةً.
