بان (أسطورة)

بان حسب الميثولوجيا الإغريقية هو إله المراعي والصيد البري والأحراش. يظهر بجلد ماعز وقرون وأرجل ماعز. يصاحب أتباع ديونيسوس كما يصاحب الحوريات. اشتُقّ اسمه من الكلمة اليونانية (باين) (باليونانية: Πάειν) (بالإنجليزية: paein) والتي تعني (يرعى).[1] وكثيراً ما تم ذكره في الأساطير القديمة مصاحباً للأدب الرعوي والموسيقى الرعوية.[2] يعود أصله إلى أركاديا اليونانية.
