When used with the "This is a redirect" (Redr) template:

When used by itself:

• From historic name: هذه تحويلة من a title that is another name, a pseudonym, a nickname, or a synonym that, more than just a "former name", has a significant historic past. For example, this redirect title could be a name that appears in older references that has been taken over by a synonymous newer term. Or, it could be a region, state, principate's holding, city, city-state or such, and the subject has been subsumed into a modern era municipality, district or state, or otherwise has experienced a name change.
  • This redirect leads to its target in accordance with the naming conventions for common names and can help writing. However, do not replace this type of redirected link with a piped link unless the page is updated for another reason.
