ويليام بولوك (بالإنجليزية: William Bullock)‏ (حوالي 1773 - 7 مارس 1849) كان مسافراً إنجليزياً، طبيعيًا ومتخصص بالأثريات.

بدأ بولوك مساره كصائغ ذهب ومجوهراتي في برمنغهام. بحلول عام 1795، كان بولوك في ليفربول، حيث أسس متحفاً للتحف الطبيعية اللافتة للنظر في شارع اللورد 24. وبينما كان لا يزال يُتاجر كمجوهراتي وصائغ ذهب، نشر في عام 1801 كتالوجاً وصفياً لأعمال الفن والمستودعات وأشياء من التاريخ الطبيعي وغير ذلك من التحف اللافتة للنظر، والتي أعاد بعضها أعضاء بعثات جيمس كوك. في عام 1809، انتقل بولوك إلى لندن، وكانت المجموعة، التي كانت تحتل المرتبة الأولى في بيكاديللي 22 وفي عام 1812 في القاعة المصرية التي كان قد تم بناؤها حديثاً، وتحظى بشعبية كبيرة. تم التخلص من المجموعة، التي شملت أكثر من 32,000 قطعة، بالمزاد العلني في عام 1819.

في عام 1810، ظهر بولوك لفترة وجيزة في قضية قانونية تتعلق بسارتجي بارتمان، وهي امرأة خويخوئية جُلبت إلى إنجلترا لأغراض معرض باسم "Hottentot Venus". كان ألكسندر دنلوب، جراح الجيش المسؤول عن وصول بارتمان إلى إنجلترا، قد اتصل به بولوك، لكنه رفض المشاركة في العرض المقترح.

في عام 1822، ذهب بولوك إلى المكسيك حيث تورط في مضاربات منجم الفضة. أعاد العديد من القطع الأثرية والعينات التي شكلت معرضاً جديداً في القاعة المصرية. وقد قام بزيارة ثانية للمكسيك والولايات المتحدة في عام 1827. اشترى بولوك الأرض على ضفة نهر أوهايو من توماس دي كارنيال حيث اقترح بناء مجتمع طوباوي يُدعى هيجيا (كلمة يونانية تعني الصحة) وُضعت من قبل جون بابوورث. لم تكن التكهنات ناجحة، على الرغم من أن بعض الناس، بما في ذلك فرانسيس ميلتون ترولوب، قد شاركوا. باع بولوك الأرض إلى إسرائيل لودلو الابن في عام 1846.[1]

عاد بولوك إلى لندن عام 1843 وتُوفي هناك في هارلي تراس 14، تشيلسي. دُفِن في كنيسة سانت ماري، تشيلسي، في 16 مارس 1849.

كان بولوك زميلاً في مجتمعات لينين والبستانية والجيولوجية والفيرنية وغيرها من الجمعيات العلمية، ونشر العديد من المنشورات حول التاريخ الطبيعي.
