طالقة (إشبيلية)

طَالِقَة^[1]^[2] شمال شنت بُنص (Santiponce) الحديثة 9 كم شمال غرب إشبيلية في جنوب إسبانيا ، كانت مستوطنة إيطالقية أسسها الجنرال الروماني شيبيون في مقاطعة باطقة. كانت مسقط رأس الأباطرة الرومان تراجان وهادريان وربما ثيودوسيوس.^[3]^[4]^[5] ازدهرت في عهد هادريان ، وأصبحت مركزًا حضريًا متقنًا وحققت مكانة سياسية واقتصادية مهمة في المنطقة. تقع مدينة شنت بُنص الحديثة فوق مستوطنة ما قبل العصر الإيبيري الروماني وجزء من المدينة الرومانية المحفوظة جيدًا.

Those favoring Cauca as the actual birthplace have also argued that Italica is a later invention precisely intended to connect Theodosius with Trajan. Martin Almagro Gorbea, although also favouring Cauca over Italica, states that modern historians are divided on the issue.
