A country's full name can be used instead of the three letter country code; in that case, the country code will not be displayed in parentheses after the link<br />
*The '''Edition''' field is mostly deprecated. Leaving this field intentionally blank will automatically use the current page name to create the championships nation link, which is encouraged to save time and space. Links to athletics championships can be manually populated by placing the year and level in this field, for example, "2013 World" will link to "2013 World Championships in Athletics".<br />
*The '''Athletes''' field is for when the template is used in participating nations sections. This will show the number of athletes the nation has entered in parentheses after the flag and country name<br />
