In essence, this template takes the [[قالب:طقم كرة قدم|football (soccer) kit template]] and superimposes a basketball jersey shape over that uniform to create a basketball uniform.<br />

Editors can therefore use any of the patterns from the football kit template. There are also some basketball-specific jersey patterns (including jersey numbers, unusual in soccer).<br />

Unlike the soccer kit, users also have the ability to add shorts templates (''pattern_s'').<br />
